A social game, described without the marketing

Pale Watch publishes Free Social Games, which for us adds up to a single page carrying a single demo game. You open it and play it. No question is asked about who you are. There is no account waiting to be made, no wallet to load, no feature kept back for later and no point further down where a charge appears. The pieces in the hall are counted in virtual credits, and virtual credits stop existing the moment the tab closes.

We say this outright because the shape is a borrowed one. Cascading grids and rising multipliers belong to products designed to move money around, and the resemblance carries assumptions along with it. None of those assumptions apply. Nothing on this page can win you money, cost you money, or become money later on by any route at all.

A fairer comparison is a working model kept behind glass in a museum. The mechanism runs honestly and behaves the same way every time, and the thing it models has been left out deliberately. The Lunar Phases set is drawn from what a hall of this sort would genuinely have kept on its shelves, and the grid holds together under as much scrutiny as you care to apply.

A readout, not a balance

Eighteen hundred credits are on the counter when the page opens. A sweep takes some away, a cluster puts some back. Nothing else in the world affects that number.

Virtual credits are not sold. There is no checkout on this site, no cashier and no page anywhere that would accept a payment, and none is planned. They cannot be passed to another person, traded or moved between accounts, because accounts do not exist here and there is nobody to move them to. They cannot be withdrawn, converted or redeemed against cash, goods, vouchers, tokens or entry into anything.

They are also never stored. Nothing about a visit is written to your device or transmitted anywhere. Reload the page and the counter reads eighteen hundred again, which is the clearest evidence we can offer that it was only ever a display.

Should it reach zero, the game refills it without being asked. Nothing here can be lost and nothing needs topping up.

Clusters, the settle, and a long gentle ladder

The hall lays out six columns and five rows, putting thirty pieces in view at once. Five or more of the same piece touching along an edge, above, below or to either side, count as a single cluster and clear as one. Meeting at a corner does not count. A diagonal never joins a cluster, which is what keeps the shape readable once the tethers are drawn across it.

A cleared cluster leaves a gap. Whatever stood above it comes down, fresh pieces enter along the top row, and if the new arrangement forms another cluster then it clears in turn without any further input. A run of those is a chain.

Why the ladder is long and shallow

This hall climbs one, two, three, four, six, nine, fourteen. Seven rungs, each a modest step over the last. Nothing dramatic happens on the second clear, which is the point: the interest is in seeing how far a single sweep can keep going rather than in one sudden jump. A run that reaches the far end has done something genuinely unusual.

The panel, control by control

• Stake sets how many virtual credits each sweep uses. The two buttons move it through five fixed values and stop at either end.
• Brisk compresses the animation for anyone who would rather not wait through the settle.
• Sweep lays out a fresh thirty.
• Session Net reports the distance between what has been staked and what has come back, for this tab alone.

All of it runs locally in your own browser. No outcome is requested from a server, none is sent back, and a refresh clears everything.

Sites in this territory usually offer a self-exclusion setting that locks an account for a fixed period. We have none to offer, for the straightforward reason that there is no account here to lock. What we can do instead is point you toward the controls that work regardless of whether a website cooperates, and those already live on the device in front of you.

What we collect

Nothing that identifies you. There is no registration, no form and no input field anywhere on this site asking for personal information. We do not collect your name, email address, postal address, telephone number, date of birth or payment details, because nothing on the site would have any use for them.

Game data

Your stake, your credit counter and your session totals sit in your browser's memory for as long as the tab stays open. They are never transmitted to us and never written to your device. Closing or refreshing the page discards all of it.

Cookies

This site sets no cookies. It uses no local storage, no session storage and nothing comparable, and it loads no third-party scripts, fonts, analytics or advertising tags that could set one on our behalf. There is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to. Your browser may still keep its ordinary cache of the page files, which is outside our control and holds nothing about you.

Server logs

Our hosting provider records standard web server request logs, which can include an IP address, a timestamp and a browser user agent string. They exist to keep the site running and secure, are not tied to any identity, and are never used to build a profile or shared for advertising.

Your rights

Since we hold no personal information about you, there is generally nothing to access, correct or delete. If you believe otherwise, write to privacy@palewatch.com and we will respond.

Acceptable use

Virtual credits and no cash value
